Description

We are seeking an experienced Foreman Plumber  to join our team. As a Foreman Plumber, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the plumbing jobs mainly in the residential construction and maintenance market . You will oversee and work with a team of skilled plumbers, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and possess exceptional leadership skills. Maintenance plumbing skills are an added bonus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assigned jobs.
• Assign tasks to plumbers and ensure they understand the scope of work.
• Monitor progress and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Train and mentor new team members.
• Collaborate with other departments and contractors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems.
• Perform hands-on plumbing work as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a plumber, including years in a supervisory role.
• Valid plumbing license.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to read plans and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform plumbing tasks.
• NZ Registered Qualified Plumber
• Current first aid certificate and or site safe an advantage
• Hold a current NZ Drivers licence
• Permanent NZ resident or hold a current work visa

Role

• Full-time
• Location: Christchurch/Canterbury
• Competitive wage $35-$45 per hour
